AWA works with shared value partners to deliver on their vision to improve our community.

We help these organisations fulfil a community need while remaining financially sustainable. As a social enterprise, we believe there is no challenge we cannot tackle through this model.

AWA has achieved the following in shared value initiatives…

Geelong United Basketball

Due to the popularity and growth of domestic and representative basketball in the Geelong region, Basketball Geelong (now Geelong United Basketball) were in desperate need for additional courts. To secure basketball’s future in the area, AWA provided $1.65 million of funding support for their fit-out of 6 new courts at the Crows road complex.

The project has allowed Geelong United Basketball to meet demand and facilitate developmental pathways for players.

East Belmont Cricket Club

AWA supported East Belmont Cricket Club to build two major infrastructure projects (new change room and practice facility upgrades) at their home ground at Winter Reserve.

With co-contributions from the Federal Government, the State Government, the City of Greater Geelong and the Belmont Lions Sports Club (BLSC) the $1.15 million project will deliver new change room facilities which are shared by EBCC and BLSC.

Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club

Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club has partnered with AWA who have provided funding support of $600,000 to furnish and equip their new first aid, training, administration and hospitality areas in the new clubhouse facility.

To receive government grants, OGSLSC needed to fit-out the new facility. The stunning main beach location will now suit lifesaving and surf sporting needs while providing Ocean Grove with a beautiful events location.

Pinjarra Golf Club

The club, established in 1912, is an exciting and vibrant country/outer metropolitan golf club which hosts regular tournaments. The partnership with AWA assists the club in the purchase of groundskeeping equipment.

Mandurah City Football Club

Mandurah City Football Club are dedicated to the overall sustainability, growth and success of football in the Peel Region. Our partnership with them will assist them with the purchase of new scoring equipment. This pairs with their vision to deliver a premium local sporting club facility while making a contribution of value to both football and our wider community.

East Geelong Golf Club

To enhance member experience they have partnered with AWA Alliance Bank to implement new market-leading golf management software. MiClub is Australia's most trusted provider of golf and club management software solutions and will help better manage the club operations, reduce administration time, improve business reporting and enhance member experience.

Give Where You Live Foundation

To assist them with the purchase of their new head office, AWA has provided support to Give Where You Live Foundation, allowing them to continue their community work better. The move will save them on costs and provide a facility which better supports their needs. As a philanthropic partner also of AWA, we believe our help towards their new building further equips them to tackle social disadvantage in the Geelong and G21 region.

Kwinana Golf Club

Kwinana Golf Course is set in picturesque native woodland only 30 minutes south of Perth CBD. The course has immaculate fairways, fast pure greens, well-placed bunkers, and excellent practice facilities. The partnership allows them to upgrade their mowing equipment to maintain the course to a high standard.

Alma Doepel

From 1988-1999, Alma Doepel provided sail and ship-handling training for about 2,500 young people. Sail & Adventure Limited, owners of Alma Doepel, have embarked on an ambitious plan to refit the ship so that she can again provide a world-class youth leadership and education program.
