A Redicard operates on your Savings Account and provides you with the facility to access your funds 24 hours a day through any ATM and all EFTPOS terminals located throughout Australia.  A Redicard allows you to:

  • Withdraw funds at any ATM
  • Make purchases using EFTPOS terminals
  • Withdraw and deposit funds at Bank@Post outlets
  • Withdraw and deposit funds over the counter

PIN Security

You will be issued with your own personal identification number (PIN) which is forwarded to you within a few days of receiving your Redicard.  Every time you use your Redicard you will be required to enter your PIN in order to prove that you are the owner.  It is therefore very important that your PIN is memorised and not stored with your card for security.

Guidelines for Ensuring the Security of the Redicard and PIN:

  • Sign the Redicard as soon as you receive it
  • Keep the Redicard in a safe place
  • If you change the PIN, you must not select a PIN that represents your birth date or a recognisable part of your name
  • Never write the PIN on the Redicard
  • Never write the PIN on anything that is kept with or near the Redicard
  • Never lend the Redicard to anybody
  • Never tell or show the PIN to another person
  • Use care to prevent anyone seeing the Redicard number and PIN being entered at Electronic Equipment
  • Immediately report the loss, theft or unauthorised use of the Redicard to the Redicard Hotline staff on 1800 224 004 as soon as possible so that your card can be cancelled and a replacement issued
  • Keep a record of the Redicard number and the Redicard Hotline number with your usual list of emergency telephone numbers
  • Examine your periodical statement immediately upon receiving it to identify and report, as soon as possible, any instances where the Redicard has been used without your authority
  • Immediately notify us of any change of address

Who can apply for a Redicard?

Applications for a Redicard facility can only be accepted from Members 15 years and over.  Operation of the Redicard is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in our Product Disclosure Statement.

What if my Redicard is lost or stolen?

How to report Loss, Theft or Unauthorised Use of the Redicard or PIN

a)

If you or your Nominee believe the Redicard has been misused, lost or stolen or the PIN has become known to someone else, you or your Nominee must immediately contact your Credit Union during business hours or the REDICARD HOTLINE at any time on its emergency number detailed below.  Your or your Nominee must provide the following information when making such notification to your Credit Union or the REDICARD HOTLINE:

i)     the Redicard number;
ii)    the name of your Credit Union; and
iii)   any other personal information you or your Nominee is asked to provide to assist in identifying you and the Redicard.
b)The REDICARD HOTLINE or your Credit Union will acknowledge the notification by giving a reference number. Please retain this number as evidence of the date and time of contactng the Credit Union or the REDICARD HOTLINE.
c)When contacting the REDICARD HOTLINE, you or your Nominee should confirm the loss or theft as soon as possible at your Credit Union's office.
d)The REDICARD HOTLINE is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
e)If the REDICARD HOTLINE is not operating at the time notification is attempted, the loss, theft or unauthorised use must be reported to your Credit Union as soon as possible during business hours on 03 5245 1739 (Geelong), 03 5521 5333 (Portland) or 08 9531 6161 (WA).
f)Your Credit Union will be liable for any losses arising because the REDICARD HOTLINE is not operating at the time of attempted notification, provided that the loss, theft or unauthorised use is reported to your Credit Union as soon as possible during business hours.
